Flowers at the Philadelphia Museum of Art

Flowers in Philly

I have a great love for flowers in life and expressed as art. Their seasonal blossoms and ephemeral lush colors never ceases to inspire my appreciation and wonder. Recently, when visiting the Philadelphia Museum of Art, I had the best time seeing the different forms, brush strokes, and perspectives artists took in capturing their floral subjects. Most of these paintings collected here are by European artists from the 19th century, such as Monet and Cezanne. Included here is also an abstract painting of flowers (top collage bottom left), pen with water colors (below collage top left), and a Japanese sliding door with flowers (bottom collage top right).
